Prime Minister and Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Development Mostafa Madbouly has issued a ministerial decree for the establishment of unit to organize the new cities’ transport networks, Invest-Gate reports.
The new unit will be based in the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), under the supervision of its vice chairman, Abdulmutallab Mamdouh, according to a ministerial statement on December 4.
Tasks of the unit include: preparing smart, urban transport plans within the new cities, linking them to mother and neighboring cities with collective transport stations, identifying the current and future situation with the development of new cities, investors, and operators in order to properly establish, manage, operate, and maintain the transport vehicles that the unit will offer via NUCA.
Madbouly’s decree stipulates that Mamdouh should issue a decision to form the administrative and technical structure of the new unit, according to the statement.
