Prime Minister and Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Development Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting with officials from the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) and the housing ministry’s leaders to follow up on the progress of projects in New Mansoura, New Aswan, and Nasser City – west Assiut, Invest-Gate reports

The first phase of New Mansoura is planned to comprise 24,861 housing units, of which 11,232 and 4,704 housing units are being implemented as part of Dar Misr and Sakan Misr projects, respectively, in addition to utility projects covering a total area of 2,063 acres – which are 16% complete, according to a report submitted by the technical and follow-up team on February 5.

Mohamed Ragab, head of the New Damietta Authority, and supervisor of New Mansoura project, said that works are ongoing on 1,392 housing units and 1,149 villas in the state’s distinctive housing project, revealing that the government plans to implement six towers.

A total of 800 meters on the eastern side of the New Mansoura’s Corniche is almost done, with a completion rate of 90%, including the finalization of its facilities. Additionally, the completion rate of 1.4 kilometers of the western side of the Corniche reached 10%, Ragab noted.

Piling works have also commenced at New Mansoura University, which spans across 67 acres, he added.

During the meeting, Madbouly ordered to immediately start the implementation of the industrial complexes in New Mansoura, which will include 56 workshops across 12.2 acres.

As for New Aswan, 66 fully finished villas are being implemented at the 1,050-acre tourist strip, which includes an entertainment commercial complex, hotel, beach garden, touristic promenade, and villas area.

Regarding west Assiut’s Nasser City, the first phase of the 22.5-kilometer Hadaba Road, which links west Assiut with Nasser City, is underway finalization, while work is still ongoing on the second phase of the road.
