Madbouly Urges New Cities’ Heads to Follow Up on Developments

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouly urged heads of the New Cities to review this year’s financial plan and provide suggestions for required future investments in the upcoming fiscal year, Invest-Gate reports.

Madbouly also assigned them several tasks, including project followups on public services provided for citizens and offices responsible for the issuance of construction licenses, according to the Ministry’s released statement.

Madbouly requested all heads of city authorities to allocate free lands to needed projects in new cities, carry out a plan to construct facilities within a reasonable timeframe, followup on social housing projects, Dar Misr project, and Bait Al Watan project, as well as construct facilities to industrial lands.

This came as part of Madbouly’s meeting with the heads of Obour City, Shorouk City, the new Administrative Capital City, Badr City, New Cairo, the New Urban Communities Authority, and ministry representatives, who had gathered to discuss ways to ensure fast development in new cities.
