Madinet Masr, one of Egypt’s leading urban community developers, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Group Construction to execute new construction works in Sarai, the company’s flagship mixed-use project in East Cairo. The agreement supports Madinet Masr’s strategy to accelerate project timelines while maintaining high standards of quality and engineering excellence, Invest-Gate reports.

The MoU was signed by Eng. Abdallah Sallam, President & CEO of Madinet Masr, and Eng. Sayed Elkattan of Group Construction, in the presence of senior executives from both companies. Under the agreement, Group Construction will build 80 residential buildings in the “Rai Views” zone of Sarai, with total investments of around EGP 1.2bn. The work is set to be completed by end of 2027.

Eng. Abdallah Sallam, CEO of Madinet Masr, emphasized that strategic partnerships with trusted entities are essential to accelerating construction progress and delivering innovative, quality-focused real estate products. He highlighted the company’s commitment to developing sustainable, fully integrated communities aligned with Egypt’s national urban development goals.

Eng. Sayed Elkattan of Group Construction stated that the partnership reflects a shared dedication to delivering projects that meet global construction standards and create long-term value in Egypt’s real estate market.

Sarai is one of Madinet Masr’s key developments in East Cairo, spanning 5.5mn sqm along the Cairo–Suez Road and Al-Amal axis. The project offers diverse residential options—including apartments, S-Villas, and townhouses—designed to balance modern urban energy with a suburban feel. Located five minutes from the New Capital, 10 minutes from AUC, and 15 minutes from the Ring Road, Sarai benefits from strong connectivity and a prime strategic position.
