Madinet Masr, one of Egypt’s leading urban community developers, has congratulated the Masters Handball Team, a team proudly sponsored by the company, on their third-place victory in The Masters Handball World Cup 2024 for former handball players held in Croatia, Invest-Gate reports.
The championship, which took place from May 22nd to 26th in Omiš, Croatia, witnessed the participation of over 1,500 former handball players from 17 countries worldwide.
The Masters Handball Team secured their victory after playing six matches, defeating the Bosnian team “HRK IZVIĐAC” and the Irish team “Celtic Legends” with scores of 9-4 and 14-2, respectively. In the final match, the team emerged triumphant over the Bosnian team with a score of 12-11.
Notably, the team achieved positive results by drawing with the Egyptian team “Gezira Social Club” and the Romanian team “Golden Boys” with scores of 10-10 and 8-8, respectively. Wagih Tarek’s outstanding performance earned him the title of “The Most Valuable Player” of the tournament.
