Leading developer Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) has signed an agreement with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide to open Aloft hotel, which will be connected directly to City Centre Deira, the first integrated shopping and entertainment destination in the Middle East, Trade Arabia reported.

Aloft Dubai City Centre Deira is due to open in 2018  to offer a vibrant social scene and hospitality in Dubai.

Laing O’Rourke has won the construction contract and started work at the start of June 2016, while the project expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2018, which will mark the 4th hotel partnership in the region between MAF and Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide

Aloft hotel will include 304 spacious guest rooms, 29 of which are suites, with plush platform beds, large walk-in showers and complimentary Bliss amenities. The hotel will include feature an outdoor rooftop VOX Cinema and a cinematic-themed floor of rooms and suites, Gulf Business reported.

Aloft Dubai City Centre Deira will increase the number of hotels operated by Majid Al Futtaim in the UAE to 11. It also strengthens Starwood’s position across the country where the company currently operates 26 hotels.
