Magnom Properties, Designworks Join Forces to Revolutionize Sustainable Design in the Middle East

Magnom Properties, a subsidiary of Rawabi Holding in Saudi Arabia, has formed a significant partnership with Designworks, a renowned innovation studio under BMW Group, to enhance the exterior and charging experience of the ambitious Forbes International Tower, Invest-Gate reports.

This commercial tower, set to be a trailblazing icon in sustainable architecture, is envisioned as a net-negative carbon structure with plans for establishment in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.

Moreover, the collaboration was solidified at BMW Welt in Munich, Germany, where the two entities inked an agreement, marking a significant milestone for both parties.

As this endeavor marks Designworks’ maiden venture of such magnitude in the Middle East, the project stands as a testament to the ongoing commitment of both companies towards sustainable and progressive design initiatives.

Othman A. Ibrahim, Vice Chairman and Group CEO of Rawabi Holding and Vice Chairman of Magnom Properties, emphasized the importance of integrating environmentally conscious elements into the Tower’s design, expressing confidence that Designworks would infuse the structure with elements that foster a profound connection with its occupants and visitors.

In harmony with the architectural vision of Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture (AS+GG Architecture), the collaboration aims to blend architectural prowess with a captivating experiential approach seamlessly.

Furthermore, under the terms of the newly established partnership, Designworks will be responsible for crafting an intricate experience map for the Forbes International Tower, incorporating a distinctive façade illumination and charging experience.

The primary objective is to ensure a seamless and enriching customer journey, where physical and digital touchpoints are meticulously integrated to cater to the users’ needs.

For his part, Maged Marie, CEO of Magnom Properties, lauded the Forbes International Tower as a groundbreaking project redefining the benchmarks of sustainable design and pushing the boundaries of modern construction.

Notably, Holger Hampf, Head of Designworks, a BMW Group Company, reflected on the historical commitment of the BMW Group to environmental sustainability, underscoring the significance of this partnership in the context of the company’s overarching dedication to sustainability beyond the automotive industry.
