Magnum Properties, a subsidiary of Rawabi Holding, has recently organized a series of dialogue sessions at the Saudi Green Building Forum’s pavilion in the Blue Zone at COP28 in the UAE, Invest-Gate reports.

The forum, which is a United Nations-accredited organization, focused on discussing the progress of communities affected by climate change and the advancement of Green Frontline Communities in the region.

The sessions featured the participation of ministers, government officials, leaders from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, climate action advocates, industry and business leaders, and sustainability experts.

Distinguished speakers at the sessions included Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, a climate pioneer for the Egyptian Presidency of the Conference of the Parties to COP27 and the UN Special Envoy for Financing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Egypt’s Minister of International Cooperation.

The sessions primarily addressed the decarbonization of the building and construction sector in the region, examining the societal impact on climate change and highlighting initiatives that promote a greener construction industry in alignment with the United Nations’ sustainability goals.
