Majid Al Futtaim, owner and operator of Carrefour in Egypt, revealed the opening of the first Carrefour store in the Port Said Governorate, strategically located in the Port Fouad City at the Helnan resort, Invest-Gate reports.
Spanning 1,000 sqm, the new store offers a wide range of food and non-food items, with an impressive selection of up to 7,000 products, including beverages, fresh and frozen foods, bakeries, and light household products. The store also provides various services, such as home delivery and e-payment options.
Strategically located near residential and commercial areas within the city, the store aims to cater to the local community and ensure convenient accessibility. Notably, 95% of the store’s colleagues are Port Said residents, showcasing Majid Al Futtaim’s commitment to supporting the local community.
The opening ceremony was attended by Adel Al-Ghadban, the Governor of Port Said, Philippe Peguilhan, Country Manager of Majid Al Futtaim Retail in Egypt, Tamer Al-Hamzawy, Chairman of Al-Hamzawy Holding Group for Real Estate Investment, and Karim Al-Hamzawy, CEO of Al-Hamzawy Holding Group for Real Estate Investment.
Al-Ghadban expressed his support for the cooperation between Majid Al Futtaim and Helnan Port Fouad Resort, emphasizing its significance as a breakthrough for the residents of Port Said. He further highlighted the commitment to overcome any challenges faced by investors.
Furthermore, the second Carrefour store is set to open in the upcoming period at the Green Waves resort, one of Al-Hamzawy Holding Group’s projects in Port Said. The resort features a residential, medical, and administrative complex and boasts a remarkable view, as well as a prime location approximately 500 meters from the sea, one kilometer from Damietta Road, and one kilometer from Cairo and Ismailia Road.
