Makadi Heights Hosts Groundbreaking Music Festival on the Red Sea Coast Featuring Egyptian Music Stars

Makadi Heights, the fully integrated city by Orascom Development on the Red Sea, has hosted its first major music festival for three days from July 25 to 27, Invest-Gate reports.

This inaugural music festival aims to bolster Makadi Heights’ reputation as a premier tourist and entertainment destination, attracting visitors from across Egypt and the Arab world. The event enhances the cultural and artistic scene of the region while providing a unique experience for the city’s residents to enjoy diverse musical arts.

Moreover, the family-friendly festival offered a variety of musical performances over its three days, catering to all tastes. The opening night featured Disco Misr, a band known for its modern blend of oriental music with remixes of Arab music legends such as Umm Kulthum and Abdel Halim Hafez.

Furthermore, on the second day, the audience enjoyed a performance by Cairokee, one of Egypt’s famous rock bands. The festival concluded on July 27 with a grand performance by Sharmoofers, one of Egypt’s largest bands, known for their unique mix of Arabic and international music styles.

Tamer Dewidar, CEO of Makadi Heights, expressed his delight at organizing the city’s first music festival, emphasizing that such cultural and artistic events are fundamental to developing integrated cities that meet residents’ needs and enrich visitors’ experiences.

“The festival is part of a series of diverse activities and events organized by Makadi Heights, leveraging the city’s quality facilities, advanced infrastructure, and readiness to host world-class events,” Dewidar added.

Notably, Makadi Heights is located on Makadi Bay in the Red Sea Governorate. It is just 15 minutes from Hurghada International Airport, 20 minutes from downtown Hurghada, and 40 minutes from El Gouna. The city boasts a prime location, elevated 78 m above sea level.
