Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone, Mohab Mameesh, says that the Suez Canal Development Project seeks to attract several industries, including automotive, electronics, ship repair, textiles, furniture and pharmaceuticals, Invest-Gate reports.

Mameesh adds that the Suez Canal project will include an industrial and logistics zone, in addition to new ports that will make use of the Suez Canal’s unique location.

The project will create more job opportunities as it is expected to attract additional investments.

The official also says that the industrial development of the Suez Canal Zone will help improve the entire infrastructure of the area.
