MARAKEZ Provides Hands-On Experience to GUC’s Students

Mixed-use developer MARAKEZ cooperates with the German University in Cairo (GUC) to allow its architecture and civil engineering students to visit the District Five project to receive training by MARAKEZ’s Chief Technical Officer Mohamed Badr, Invest-Gate reports.

Students will receive an in-depth perspective of the construction and building process of MARAKEZ developments.

The students will familiarize themselves with the technical details and the different stages of the construction and building process of the District Five project.

Basil Ramzy, CEO of MARAKEZ, comments: “At MARAKEZ, we are proud to collaborate with the GUC, a well-respected academic institution known for producing highly capable graduates. Our collaboration is a reflection of our commitment to give back to the communities we serve and share our industry knowledge with the next generation.”

Professor Michael Eichner, Director of the Architecture and Urban Design Program at the GUC, says: “It is essential to increase the number of students trained in construction locally in order to create a more prosperous future for the inhabitants of Cairo.”

District Five is a mixed-use development located in the New Katameya neighborhood. The project features commercial, residential, and office spaces.
