Marassi Sports Festival Launches for the First Time – Marassi Extends Season Until October 31

Emaar Misr for Development, in collaboration with the Egyptian Swimming Federation, has launched the first edition of the Marassi Sports Festival at Marassi Marina in the North Coast. The festival is part of the extended summer season running through the end of October, Invest-Gate reports.

Bringing together a wide range of activities and competitions—including water polo, running, and swimming—the festival marks Marassi’s first large-scale sports event, designed to promote sports tourism and active lifestyles within Emaar’s integrated communities.

The event featured four of Egypt’s top sports clubs—Heliopolis, New Giza, Sporting, and Gezira—with teams of young athletes born in 2011 competing in a vibrant, disciplined atmosphere. The second day saw participants from over ten nationalities, reflecting Marassi’s cosmopolitan spirit and diverse community.

Mr. Mohamed Alabbar, Founder of Emaar Properties, expressed his pride in organizing the festival, describing it as part of Emaar’s strategy to build vibrant, fully integrated communities. “What we see today in Marassi embodies our vision of creating destinations where luxury living, recreation, and nature coexist,” said Alabbar. “Our investments in Egypt reaffirm our long-term confidence in the strength of the Egyptian economy and our commitment to supporting national efforts to transform the North Coast into a year-round global destination.”

Emaar Misr recently extended Marassi’s summer season until the end of October for the second consecutive year, reinforcing its position as the North Coast’s leading destination. The company also announced its upcoming project, Marassi Red Sea, a 2,426-feddan development that blends luxury living, hospitality, and unique coastal experiences along Egypt’s stunning Red Sea shores.
