Marquee Developments announced that it has obtained Ministerial Decree No. 1116 dated 12 October 2025 for its “Shababeek” project, the company’s first development in the Egyptian market. The company confirmed that excavation work has commenced at the project site in New Cairo’s Fifth Settlement as a key step toward the start of construction, ensuring full commitment to delivery timelines and the highest standards of quality, Invest-Gate reports.

Eng. Hazem Salama, Chairman of Marquee Developments, stated that securing the ministerial decree marks a pivotal milestone that enables the company to launch construction in line with top-tier technical and engineering standards. He noted that “Shababeek” represents a strong market entry and reflects the company’s commitment to delivering fully integrated, sustainable, and high-quality communities.

Salama explained that the project is located at the heart of the Fifth Settlement on North Teseen Road, spanning 15 feddans with a built-up ratio not exceeding 18 percent. He added that approximately 82 percent of the area is dedicated to green spaces, integrated services, and water features. The development will include landscaped zones, artificial lakes, and premium facilities designed to offer residents a unique living experience and enhanced quality of life.

The Chairman highlighted that Marquee Developments was established with Egyptian investments to deliver a new generation of sustainable urban projects, leveraging its founders’ experience of more than 40 years in major developments across Egypt, as well as in several Gulf and European countries.
