Marriott Hotel Al Forsa Abu Dhabi opened last night, becoming the second Marriott brand in the United Arab Emirates, Invest-Gate reports.
The new hotel includes six restaurants, 400 spacious guestrooms, sports courts, two indoor paintball arenas, karting circuit, water-ski facilities, health club, and spa, according to the hotel’s official Facebook page.
Marriott International has previously revealed the company’s three-year growth plan which includes the opening of one hotel globally every 14 hours.
The plan also includes adding around 285,000 to 300,000 rooms worldwide by 2019 which will incur a yield of USD 675 mn annually as stabilized fees, according to the company’s released statement.
“With global travel estimated to increase at a 7% compounded rate over the next 10 years and international trips expected to top 1.8 billion by 2030, Marriott is well positioned to benefit given its strong global footprint now in 122 countries and territories and an unmatched portfolio of 30 lodging brands,” says Arne Sorenson, Marriott International president and chief executive officer.
