Marseilia Group takes major precautions against COVID-19 for safety of all comes first, Invest-Gate reports.
Marseilia Group Chairman Sherif Heliw says, “We must all possess the understanding and the responsibilities incumbent upon us to pass from this crisis without compromising Egyptians’ safety at all costs,” according to a company statement.
Alternative work schedules were created to Marseilia’s workforce whether at its office or construction sites. Its entire workforce has been reduced to 50%, especially in locations in the North Coast, Alexandria, the New Administrative Capital, and Ein Sokhna in order to preserve the health of employees, the statement continued.
“We take all measures in conjunction with the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the Egyptian Ministry of Health, as well as standing by the decisions of the government to confront the crisis without significant losses,” Heliw elaborates.
Moreover, employees suffering from chronic diseases such as diabetes, blood pressure, kidney disease, liver disease, heart disease, and oncology, are granted a leave of absence until the crisis is over.
Additionally, employees returning from overseas, are to self-quarantine for 14 days starting from their arrival date. Heliw confirms all are paid leaves, “which will not affect any of the employees’ financial dues,” Marseilia Group Chairman highlights. All this in addition to the sanitization of all offices and projects.
At the moment Marseilia’s engineering and technical departments are studying all alternatives and implementations at its projects’ sites not to affect any scheduled deliveries.
