Dubai-based developer Meraas opened the first phase of a shopping, dining, entertainment and tourism destination along Dubai Creek, Invest-Gate reports.

The 1.8 kilometer-long Al Seef covers a total built up area of 2.5 mn square feet and houses around 500 shopping and dining concepts, offering global cuisine overlooking the creek.

The second phase of the destination is scheduled for delivery at the end of the first quarter of 2018 and will comprise an authentic souq, similar to those present in the country in the 1950s.

Al Seef boasts a selection of floating restaurants, a marina for private yachts, floating market and links to the Dubai water taxi network.
