MIDAR, the developer of several cities in the East Cairo region, hosted a grand celebration at Abdeen Palace in Cairo, Invest-Gate reports.
The renowned artist Majida El Roumi was accompanied by the world-famous maestro Nader Abbassi in their first artistic encounter since April 2021.
The event marked the official launch of MIDAR as one of the largest private urban development companies in Egypt.
Furthermore, MIDAR focused on implementing the concept of comprehensive, sustainable mega-cities. It also announced MIDAR’s latest city, MADA in East Cairo, which spans 5,800 feddans and has a 3-kilometer frontage on the Cairo-Suez road.
Moreover, attended by ministers, senior officials, company stakeholders, media figures, and industry leaders, the ceremony highlighted MIDAR’s role as a leading platform for major investors and real estate developers, notably within the “Future City” project, one of MIDAR’s fourth-generation cities covering 5,200 feddans in the East Cairo area.
During the event, Ayman ElKousey, MIDAR’s Managing Director and CEO, emphasized the company’s vision for developing its land portfolio, which totals approximately 11,000 feddans in East Cairo. He underlined MIDAR’s successful model of combining government-backed investments with private-sector expertise.
Also, ElKousey outlined MIDAR’s service offerings, including establishing utility companies such as CIRCUIT for electricity distribution and WAYZ for modern transportation systems, which integrate advanced technological options.
Notably, MIDAR’s efforts have attracted investments totaling EGP 200 bn so far. It aims to create upscale, integrated urban communities. ElKousey reiterated MIDAR’s commitment to developing innovative and distinctive cities for the future.
