MIDAR, the leading developer of several cities in the East Cairo region, has disclosed its extensive engagement in social responsibility endeavors during the past year of 2023, with a total expenditure reaching EGP 20 mn, Invest-Gate reports.

Ayman ElKousey, the Managing Director and CEO of MIDAR, emphasized the company’s commitment to augment its involvement in community service initiatives. This commitment aims to bolster the state’s efforts in enhancing the quality of life for deserving citizens, encompassing various sectors such as education, healthcare, and other essential services.

He noted that this role stems from MIDAR ‘s steadfast belief in the significance of contributing to the state’s development plans to alleviate the burden on its citizens.

ElKousey further stated, “Throughout 2023, the company expanded its social responsibility activities to encompass support for seven institutions. Four of these institutions operate in the healthcare sector, namely the National Cancer Institute in Sheikh Zayed (Hospital 500500), El-Demerdash Hospital, Abu El-Rish Hospital, and Baheya Foundation.

Additionally, the company provided support to three other institutions engaged in community and research services, including the Presidential Initiative for the Development of Villages in the Egyptian Rural, Hayah Karima, the National Research Centre, and El Sondos Foundation for the Care of Orphans and People with Special Needs.”

ElKousey highlighted that through its community initiatives, MIDAR contributed to the provision of medical equipment and intensive care beds. The company also covered the costs of supplies for various treatment rooms and chemotherapy sessions, demonstrating its support for the state’s endeavors to enhance healthcare services for vulnerable citizens.
