Middle East’s First EDITION Hotel Debuts in Abu Dhabi

Marriott International, together with American hotelier and real estate developer Ian Schrager, has announced bringing the Middle East’s first EDITION hotel to Bloom Holding’s Bloom Marina mixed-use development in Abu Dhabi, marking the brand’s debut in the UAE and in the Middle East as a whole, Invest-Gate reports.

With 198 guest rooms and suites, as well as 57 exclusive residences, this new jewel of Abu Dhabi is an exclusive waterfront oasis spearheading a new movement in the city that never stands still, according to an official statement on December 19.

The new hotel property is a home to three award-winning restaurants, while the hotel wonderland features an international gourmet market, a lobby bar, a pool bar, and a three-storey “ANNEX” – or extension – opening soon.

It will also feature business and leisure facilities including a spa, a beach club, over 900 square meters of meeting and special event spaces, as well as a business center.

“Abu Dhabi EDITION also offers two purpose-built gyms, and two beautifully white-tiled swimming pools, one connecting to the main hotel and the other in the private residences,” the statement read.

Speaking on the move, CEO of Bloom Holding Sameh Muhtadi said, “Bloom is proud to bring the first EDITION Hotel to the Middle East, marking an important milestone in its efforts to expand its hospitality portfolio in partnership with reputed international hotel brands.”

“We are confident that The Abu Dhabi EDITION will set the bar high for delivering outstanding guest experiences through combining exceptional design and innovation with personal, friendly, modern five-star service,” Muhtadi underlined.

According to the statement, with the opening of Abu Dhabi EDITION, Bloom Holding has accomplished a remarkable milestone in the growth of its hospitality portfolio, which already encompasses a number of four- and five-star hotels as well as some serviced hotel apartments.
