Millions Invested in Water Stations and Sanitation Plants, Qaliubya

The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and New Urban Communities launches three water stations in Qaliubya at a total investment cost of EGP 20mn, Invest-Gate reports.

Minister Mostafa Madbouly, accompanied by Governor Amr Abdel Moneim, has inaugurated the three water stations in Qaliubya, serving 250,000 residents in total. The stations spread across Qaliubya with two located near Al Kanater Al Khayreya city, serving 100,000 residents alone.

“Additionally, we are to construct 10 stations approximately worth of EGP 1.4 mn to serve 1.8mn citizen,” Madbouly announced. The ministry’s future plan includes developing 55 rural sanitation projects at a total cost of EGP 2,543 mn to serve 2.5 mn people across 55 villages by the end of 2017, according to the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) released statement.

Currently, the ministry also is developing several water treatment plants at a total investment cost of EGP 308 mn that will be finalized in June 2017.
