Minister of Investment and International Cooperation discussed with South Sinai’s senior official means of boosting investment opportunities in the governorate, Invest-Gate reports.
The officials, led by South Sinai’s Governor Khaled Fouda, met with Minister Sahar Nasr in her Cairo office and discussed the progress of implementing developmental projects in the governorate, which are financed by a number of Arab funds at a total cost of USD 947 mn.
The developmental projects include the establishment of seven Bedouin communities, seven agricultural communities, Al-Tor University, and five water desalination plants, a ministry statement read.
The money obtained from the Arab funds will also be used to develop the Ain Mousa-Sharm El-Sheikh Road, and upgrade Al-Tor’s fishing port.
Nasr also discussed investment opportunities in South Sinai till 2030, including the establishment of an international conferences center, the construction of Sharm Business City, as well as building a marina for yachts and touristic resorts.
