Minister of Housing, Cairo Governor Monitor Progress of Development Projects in The Governorate

Assem El-Gazzar, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, and Khaled Abdel Aal, the Governor of Cairo, convened a meeting to review the progress of several development projects underway in Cairo Governorate, Invest-Gate reports.

These projects include the Soor Magra El-Oyoun area development project, the Walk of the People of Egypt project (Mamsha Ahl Masr), the Azbakeya Park development project, and the Khedivial Cairo development project. El-Gazzar emphasized that these development projects implemented in Cairo aim to elevate the city’s status, particularly in historical areas, and restore Cairo to its cultural splendor.

This vision aligns with the ongoing urban renaissance in Egypt during President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s tenure. It encompasses expanding the urban area through establishing new cities and developing existing urban areas.

The minister provided details about the Soor Magra El-Oyoun area development project, which entails the construction of 79 buildings of various heights. These buildings will comprise 1,924 residential units and 18 ground-floor commercial units.

Additionally, the project will feature a commercial, administrative, and entertainment mall spanning an area of 51,000 sqm. The mall will include restaurants, cinemas, and other recreational facilities. Furthermore, a parking garage with a capacity of 1,355 cars will be constructed, along with a main open-air theater in front of the mall.
