Minister of Housing Follows up on 2nd Phase of New Capital Employees Residents Project

Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, inspects the implementation rate of the second phase of the housing project for the employees of the New Administrative Capital (NAC) in Badr City, which includes 4,704 housing units, Invest-Gate reports.

El-Gazzar stresses the need to ensure a high quality of implementation according to schedules to match the first phase’s level.

Ammar Mandour, Head of the Badr City Development Authority, explains that asphalt works and the cultivation of green spaces are currently underway at the site, indicating that the implementation rate for buildings amounted to 89% of the project. Besides, electrical work was carried out at an implementation rate of around 50%, and cables were supplied in the project.

Mandour adds that the Arab Contractors Company is responsible for executing the project’s facilities, which reached 85%. Additionally, the Arab Contractors execute the road work at an implementation rate of 35%. He highlights that the gas implementation rate at the project is around 60%.

For his part, Kamal Bahgat, Assistant Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority for the Development and Cities Sector, affirms that efforts and work should be doubled to finish the project within the specified time plan.
