Minister of Housing Follows Up on the Implementation Status of the Presidential Initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” Units in Several New Cities

Eng. Randa El Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, followed up on the executive status of the residential units under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” and related services in the cities of Hadayek 10th of Ramadan, Sadat, 10th of Ramadan, New Alamein, and New Obour, which are being implemented as part of efforts to provide adequate housing.

In this regard, the Minister of Housing directed the intensification of labor, equipment, and supplies at the ongoing construction sites, as well as the swift submission of data for fully serviced completed housing units to the Social Housing Fund to contact beneficiaries and finalize handover procedures.

The Minister also directed the expedited implementation of various services in accordance with the housing project plans, while ensuring sound planning for new projects, so that the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” continues its role in enhancing citizens’ quality of life.

Randa El Menshawy, Minister of Housing, stated that the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” is of utmost importance as it directly affects the lives of millions of citizens due to its connection to housing, which achieves social stability and supports the state’s efforts toward comprehensive development.

Follow-up on Projects in New Minya and Sadat

In this context, the Minister reviewed the implementation status of the sixth phase of the “Housing for All Egyptians” project (Low-Income) in New Minya City, consisting of 71 residential buildings, to assess the progress of utilities and finishing works, ensure adherence to the specified timelines, and emphasize the application of the highest quality standards in execution.

In Sadat City, the final touches of modern housing projects were reviewed, including the “Green Housing” project under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in Al-Firdous District, which represents a pioneering model for sustainable architecture and environmentally friendly cities. The project includes 82 residential buildings with a total of 1,968 housing units and features energy and water conservation measures integrated into the designs, the use of sustainable building materials that ensure a healthy environment for residents, as well as a notable expansion of green spaces, thereby enhancing quality of life and achieving environmental sustainability standards.

New Obour and New Alamein: Services, Utilities, and Final Finishes

The Minister of Housing also followed up on the executive status of the project in New Obour City, where construction works for the Police Point in District 14, which includes thousands of housing units under “Housing for All Egyptians,” have been completed in preparation for handover and operation as part of the service projects package being finalized in the city.

The urgent solution project for a 400 mm diameter water pipeline extending 5.7 km to serve Districts (15 and 16) under the “Housing for All Egyptians” projects was also reviewed, with emphasis on the importance of swift implementation according to the highest quality standards to enhance the efficiency of the water supply system in line with the city’s rapid urban growth rates.

In New Alamein City, the “Housing for All Egyptians” project was reviewed, including the status of handovers and the areas targeted for delivery in the upcoming period. Emphasis was placed on maintaining site cleanliness, improving the project’s aesthetic aspects, preserving and periodically maintaining green spaces to reflect the city’s civilized appearance, completing sidewalk formations, sealing shafts, planting basins, finishing external facades and walkways, clearing debris and stored materials on site, as well as expediting the completion of the youth center playground works and finalizing the medical center’s equipment within the project.

Housing for All Egyptians

Hadayek 10th of Ramadan and 10th of Ramadan: Green and Medium Housing

Engineer Randa El-Menshawy also followed up on the implementation status of the Green Housing project under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in its fifth and sixth phases in Hadayek 10th of Ramadan City, in addition to the completion of utilities and infrastructure works, and road works including the installation of curbstones, interlock paving, and sidewalk construction, as part of completing the project’s overall site coordination.
In 10th of Ramadan City, the implementation of “Housing for All Egyptians” units – Low-Income Axis (Green Housing) – Phase Five continued, comprising 90 residential buildings with a total of 1,842 housing units ranging between 75 and 90 square meters per unit, in addition to the Medium Housing Project – Phase Five – in the same area, which includes 68 residential buildings with a total of 1,632 housing units ranging between 100, 110, and 120 square meters. Structural works have been completed at 100%, and the Minister followed up on the implementation status of drinking water, sewage, and electricity networks, as well as road and subgrade works, as this stage reflects the projects’ readiness for actual operation.
