In her first meeting after taking the constitutional oath before H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, Eng. Randa El Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting to follow up on the executive status of the Ministry’s projects under the Presidential Initiative for the Development of the Egyptian Countryside “Haya Karima,” in the presence of the Ministry’s leaders and heads of the concerned executive bodies, Invest-Gate reports.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Housing stressed that the projects of the Presidential Initiative “Haya Karima” represent a top priority on the Ministry’s agenda during the coming phase, in implementation of the political leadership’s directives, ensuring the acceleration of completion rates and improving the quality of life for citizens in the targeted villages. She emphasized the necessity of adhering to the specified timelines, with continuous field follow-up and overcoming any obstacles that may face implementation.

Review of Implementation Rates and Phase One Completion Plans
The meeting reviewed the progress rates of drinking water and sanitation projects, treatment plants, and the extension and reinforcement of utility networks, in addition to plans to complete works in the remaining villages under the first phase of the Presidential Initiative “Haya Karima,” contributing to improving the level of services provided to citizens in the Egyptian countryside.

Strengthening Coordination and Accelerating Work
The Minister directed the need to enhance full coordination between the Ministry’s entities, implementing companies, and concerned authorities, while intensifying work at project sites to expedite completion in accordance with the highest standards of quality and efficiency. She affirmed that the coming phase requires doubling efforts to ensure the achievement of the targeted objectives of the projects.

Periodic Follow-Up and Action Against Delayed Companies
Eng. Randa El Menshawy concluded the meeting by affirming that the Ministry of Housing will continue its pivotal role in supporting the objectives of the Presidential Initiative, as one of the most important comprehensive development projects in the Egyptian state, reflecting the state’s keenness to achieve integrated and sustainable development that places the citizen at the forefront of its priorities. She stressed firm dealing and taking all necessary measures against delayed companies, noting that the coming period will witness periodic follow-up of all projects on the ground across the governorates.
