Assem El Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, inspected road development projects in New Cairo, the adjacent services area for the industrial zone, and the “Sakan Misr” and “Dar Misr” areas, Invest-Gate reports.
The minister was accompanied by Abdel Moteleb Mamdouh, Vice Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA); Amin Ghoneim, Vice President of NUCA; and Abdel Raouf El Ghitty, Head of the New Cairo Development Authority.
El Gazzar expresses the importance of accelerating the implementation rates of road development projects in New Cairo with the highest quality, within the framework of the state’s plan to develop the road network in east Cairo to achieve traffic flow and facilitate access to the New Administrative Capital.
The extension of Mohamed Naguib Axis is being developed, with a length of approximately two km, with six lanes in each direction, a width of 19 m in one direction, and two service lanes on either side of the road.
Also, the Al-Obour Axis is being developed, with a length of 2.8 km, with six lanes in each direction, a width of 19 m in one direction, and a 2-m central island.
Additionally, the Giza Axis is being developed, with a length of 2.6 km, with six lanes in each direction, a width of 19 m in one direction, and a 2-m central island.
Furthermore, the Minister of Housing and his accompanying delegation inspected the services being implemented on an area of 130 acres, which includes exhibitions, warehouses, a logistics area, administrative and commercial facilities, and serves the industrial zone, and the “Sakan Misr” and “Dar Misr” areas to ensure its compliance with the approved plans for the area.
