Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly has laid the cornerstone for an 80-acre wholesale market in Al-Tahadi 1 area in Sadat City, Invest-Gate reports.
The market will be implemented in several stages, the first of which includes vegetables and fruits storage rooms, storage refrigerators, maintenance workshops, shops, a bank complex, insurance company headquarters, an administrative building, toilets, as well as a mosque, a restaurant, a café, a fire unit, an ambulance unit, a police unit.
Madbouly said that 360 housing units (15 buildings) were delivered in the first phase of the medium-housing project “Dar Misr”, while 432 housing units (18 buildings), are currently being implemented in the project’s second phase.
80% of the second phase has been completed, including a commercial market and a mosque, according to a ministry press release.
The necessary permits for the establishment of a medical center, a private school and three pitches are being issued to provide all services to the project beneficiaries.
Alaa Manea, head of Sadat City Development Authority, reviewed details of a number of different projects being implemented in the city related to water, sanitation, electricity, roads, industry and services sectors.
