Minister of Housing Reviews Progress of “Housing for All Egyptians” Units in 15 May, Sadat, Hadayek Al Ashar, and New Obour Cities

Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, reviewed the executive status of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” projects in 15 May City, New Obour City, Hadayek Al Ashar of Ramadan, and Sadat City, Invest-Gate reports.

Engineer Randa El-Menshawy emphasized the necessity of continuing to accelerate project implementation rates, contributing to the provision of adequate housing that befits the Egyptian citizen. She stressed the importance of intensifying on-site follow-up of projects, adhering to the highest standards of quality and efficiency in execution, ensuring the timely completion of works according to set schedules, and showing zero tolerance for any shortcomings.

Follow-up on 15 May Projects and Implementation Details

Engineer Randa El-Menshawy received a report outlining the results of an inspection tour conducted by Engineer Ammar Mandour, Deputy Head of the Authority for Development and Construction Sector, in 15 May City, with the participation of city authority officials, to monitor the progress of ongoing projects.

The report reviewed the executive status of middle-income housing projects under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians,” as well as ongoing works on residential buildings, utilities, and site coordination.

The report indicated that 91 residential buildings are currently being implemented, totaling 2,184 housing units under the middle-income axis of the initiative in Al Narges area and the 290-feddan extension. In addition, 465 buildings comprising 11,160 housing units, each with an area of 90 square meters, are under construction.

Inspection of New Obour Projects and Green Housing

The report also covered the executive status of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” projects in New Obour City, where Engineer Mahmoud Morad, Head of the City Authority, followed up on the progress of several housing and infrastructure projects.

The tour included inspections of Districts 15 and 16, where District 15 includes about 705 residential buildings, while District 16 includes 433 buildings. During the visit, construction and finishing rates were reviewed, along with road grading works, curb installations, interlock paving, and overall site coordination, ensuring that work is proceeding regularly across all sites.

Officials of New Obour City Authority also inspected the Green Housing project in District 13 under the initiative, which includes 180 buildings with a total of 3,924 housing units. They followed up on construction works and external finishes, in addition to the implementation of integrated utilities such as drinking water, sewage, irrigation networks, and electricity, as well as site coordination works, while taking decisive measures against non-compliant companies.

Follow-up on Hadayek Al Ashar and Sadat Projects and Progress Rates

In the same context, officials of Hadayek Al Ashar City Authority followed up on the progress of housing and infrastructure projects to achieve urban development targets and provide an integrated environment for residents. Engineer Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Razek, Head of the City Authority, inspected the Green Housing project under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in its fifth phase, to review the latest developments and monitor implementation rates on the ground.

The tour included inspection of utilities works and external finishes of residential units, as well as site coordination works on SR3 road, interlock paving on roads R4, R5, and R7, in addition to landscaping, afforestation, and lighting of entrances and green areas.

Meanwhile, Eng. Mohamed Adel Anwar, Head of Sadat City Authority, held an extensive meeting with the companies implementing the Green Housing project – Phase Six under “Housing for All Egyptians.” The meeting reviewed the executive status of the project components, which include 82 residential buildings with a total of 1,968 units, noting significant progress in completion rates.
