Egyptian ministries’ headquarters will be relocated to the new capital by June 30, 2019, Al-Ahram website quoted Chairperson of the New Administrative Capital for Urban Development Major General Ahmad Zaki Abdeen as saying.
A new government-owned company will be established to manage and transfer assets of ministries to be moved from Cairo to the New Administrative Capital, Abdeen adds.
The ministerial district in the new capital will be established with total investments worth around EGP 35 bn, while the capital’s overall facilities will cost approximately EGP 132 bn.
To accommodate all social classes, the capital will offer residential units for employees, whose institutions will be relocated, under a mortgage finance program, while deducting the land’s price to reduce monthly installments.
