The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities oversees land regulation in new cities and inspects road development projects in Shorouk City, which aims to modernize Egypt’s urban infrastructure, Invest-Gate reports.
Ali Saad, Head of the Shorouk City Development Authority, states that the regular meeting for the sub-units dealing with land added to the holdings of several new cities (Shorouk, New Obour, 6th of October, Sheikh Zayed, and New Sphinx) was held at the Shorouk City Authority headquarters.
Notably, the meeting was held in the context of the state’s efforts to quickly regulate the situation of landholders in the areas added to several new cities.
Ahmed Omara, the chair of the central unit and the general manager of contracts and dispute settlement at the authority, began the meeting by requesting a review of the obstacles encountered by each sub-unit while carrying out its work.
The authority’s central unit and the real estate and commercial affairs sector were recommended to review the cases and present them to the board of directors.
The meeting was attended by Abdelwahab Mouselli, Head of Real Estate and Commercial Affairs Sector Central Administration, heads of city authorities (New Obour, Sheikh Zayed, and New Sphinx), and some officials from relevant cities.
Moreover, Kamal Bahgat, Assistant Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority for the Development and Cities Sector, inspected the road development project at the newly added Rabia city entrances.
