Ministry of Housing Prepares Booklet to Clarify New Building Reconciliation Law

Minister of Housing and Urban Communities Sherif El Sherbini announced that the Ministry of Housing had formed a committee to address inquiries related to Law No. 187 of 2023, which concerns the reconciliation and regularization of building violations, Invest-Gate reports

The committee is preparing a booklet that answers common questions regarding the law and its executive regulations.

El Sherbini emphasized that the booklet will be distributed to all administrative authorities and relevant committees and available online for public access. This initiative aims to raise awareness and clarify the law, helping citizens understand the reconciliation process.

According to El Sherbini, the reconciliation law’s primary goal is developmental, focusing on improving the urban environment and accommodating a wide range of building violations, especially in new cities.

Moreover, Nafisa Mahmoud Hashem, the Minister’s Advisor for Housing and Utilities Affairs, and head of the committee, added that the team is actively collaborating with urban planning and development sectors to respond to queries from new city administrations.

Furthermore, Hashem revealed that three comprehensive guides have been prepared to assist citizens, technical committees, and relevant administrative bodies navigate the reconciliation process. These guides have been distributed to all new city authorities to encourage citizen participation and facilitate the work of the responsible committees.
