Misr Italia Properties (MIP) holds a press conference to mark the launch of the second edition of the IL Bosco International Padel Tournament in partnership with JPadel Egypt, between May 17th to May 20th at IL Bosco Javelin Sports Club in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), Invest-Gate reports.
The tournament will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as the Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD), and in collaboration with the Egyptian Padel Federation and the International Padel Federation.
The Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi says the New Capital is one of Egypt’s largest development projects currently underway. He notes that Egypt is witnessing a real estate boom along with the advancement of sports, expressing happiness for the championship being held there.
“The Egyptian state has provided the New Capital with great potential,” the minister adds.
Chairman of ACUD Khaled says the tournament is an opportunity to promote the giant national project and showcase its ongoing business development.
Misr Italia Properties’ CEO Mohamed Khaled El-Assal thanks the ministry and ACUD for their support, stressing the event promotes sports tourism and the New Capital.
He adds that Misr Italia is committed to supporting sports and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
The second edition aims to highlight Egypt’s position through the New Capital as the largest national project among fourth-generation cities, MIP’s CEO Mohamed Hani El-Assal, comments.
The President of the Egyptian and Arab padel federations, Ahmed Ghatwary highlights that such tournaments in Egypt provide opportunities for local players to learn international skills and develop their game.
It is worth noting that the second edition of the IL Bosco International Padel Tournament will feature 400 players from 10 countries, including the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, France, Spain, Morocco, UAE, Qatar, and Egypt.
In the 2023 tournament, there will be players with a wide range of age groups and skill levels, competing over the course of 4 days in 200 matches.
Covering an area of 16,000 sqm, IL Bosco Javelin Sports Club is situated within the heart of IL Bosco, MIP’s flagship residential project in the NAC, with a total investment of EGP 17 bn.
IL Bosco comprises units designed to blend with nature and overlook the iconic Green River as well as the world’s largest central park.
