MDA Engineering Alliance, comprising Mohamed Talaat Architects, Diaa Consult Engineering Consulting, and Effect Engineering Consultancy, has commenced construction on a new landmark tower in the Fifth Settlement area of East Cairo, Invest-Gate reports.
Mohamed Talaat, Chairman of Mohamed Talaat Architects, emphasized that this project stands as one of the most significant urban development endeavors witnessed in the East Cairo region of late. He highlighted that its distinguishing feature is being the inaugural iconic tower outside the New Administrative Capital (NAC).
Describing the design, Talaat mentioned that the new tower will take the shape of a pharaonic obelisk embellished with a pyramid at its entrance. The “Ravel” tower is envisaged to host a variety of activities across its 55 floors, with some units designated for administrative purposes, others for commercial use, and a Panorama restaurant set to grace the tower’s upper levels.
Furthemore, Talaat disclosed that the tower is situated within a central park at the heart of an encompassing urban scheme named “Ravel.” This project encompasses residential, administrative, commercial, and recreational zones, with an internal road network underway to serve the development efficiently.
The expansive scope of the urban project spans 1,355 feddans, strategically positioned amidst the Ring Road, Marshal Mohamed Ali Fahmy Axis, and Marshal Tantawi Axis, in proximity to the “Egypt International Exhibition Center” monorail station.
Talaat elaborated on the compound’s components, outlining luxury residential buildings covering 215 feddans, distinguished housing structures over 85 feddans, a villa zone (twin and town) spanning 47 feddans, and standalone villas across 37 feddans.
Additionally, the project will feature various service facilities and amenities, with public services allotted 9 feddans of space, along with provisions for a mass transit station, facilities area, places of worship, and a medical complex covering 40 feddans.
