Mountain View Foundation Launches Second Edition of “Discovering Heroes” Program in Upper Egypt Governorates

Mountain View Foundation has initiated the qualifying assessments for the second installment of the “Discovering Heroes” Program for 2024 in the Upper Egypt governorates, encompassing Sohag, Qena, Luxor, and Aswan, Invest-Gate reports.

The program comprises several stages, starting with the initial evaluation phase for 5,000 contenders that commenced in July, followed by the testing phase for 1,000 champions that started in early August. Subsequently, the final phase will entail a secluded training camp for 50 champions, set to commence in September, culminating in the announcement of the victorious champions.

Embedded within this flagship initiative, designed to unearth sporting, artistic, and technological talents across Egypt’s governorates, the Foundation extends comprehensive support and skill enrichment opportunities to nurture champions and budding talents.

This initiative aims to empower them to excel in their respective fields under the presidential initiative Haya Karima (“Decent Life”), particularly focusing on villages requiring substantial talent cultivation and holistic support for their families across social, economic, and healthcare domains.

Building on the resounding success of its inaugural edition last year, inaugurated in Fayoum Governorate, the Foundation provided intensive mentorship to approximately 15 talents over a three-year period, priming them for major competitions and aiding them in securing a multitude of accolades.

Selections were meticulously made based on a series of qualifiers and stringent criteria, encompassing behavioral attributes like commitment and teamwork, alongside technical factors such as skill proficiency and physical readiness.

In the first edition of “Discovering Heroes”, the Foundation identified 50 talents from a pool of 11,000 applicants, offering them an immersive training camp to enhance their physical prowess. During the camp, 15 champions emerged victorious, while the remaining 35 participants received a year-long training opportunity despite not qualifying for the primary program.

Furthermore, the Foundation devised a comprehensive roadmap for their integration into the national team and various clubs, ensuring they receive sports, educational, and healthcare backing.
