Mountain View Development will participate in the 12th World Urban Forum (WUF) hosted for the first time in Egypt, in collaboration with UN-Habitat, the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, and the Ministry of Local Development from November 4 to 8 in Cairo, Invest-Gate reports.

Mountain View’s involvement aligns with the Egyptian government’s invitation for major urban development companies to showcase the country’s achievements in urban planning and sustainable growth.

Moreover, Egypt becomes the second African nation to host WUF after Kenya and the second Arab nation to host the 10th session since Abu Dhabi, underscoring Egypt’s growing influence in regional and international sustainable development.

Furthermore, this forum provides a prime platform to showcase Egypt’s transformative urban projects over the past decade, including the private sector’s role in domestic and international development.

WUF, the second-largest event on the UN calendar after the UN Climate Change Conference (COP), will draw global attention. Governments, officials, and civil society representatives will come together to explore solutions for sustainable urban growth.

Also, Mountain View Development will contribute to two-panel discussions within the forum, focusing on local actions to support global cooperation and advance the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Notably, topics to be addressed include affordable housing, climate adaptation, safe public spaces, and the challenges of urbanization amid crises and conflicts.

At the request of African housing ministers, the forum will also host a dedicated meeting to examine Egypt’s successful urban development initiatives. The meeting aims to foster collaboration and share expertise with African nations on large-scale projects.
