Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar stated that the implementation rate of the R3 residential project in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) reached 84%, Invest-Gate reports.
In a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, El Gazzar also added that the project extends over 1,000 acres, comprising eight neighborhoods, according to a statement on April 29.
The first one is finalized with a total of 3,104 residential units, while the second is implemented by 70% with a total of 3,920 ready units and the third is completed by 65% with 2,324 finished homes.
The fourth and fifth areas, where the implementation rate reached 70%, have a total of 274 and 211 completed villas and townhouses, respectively. The seventh and eights neighborhoods have 3,160 and 3,896 completed units, respectively.
The minister also reviewed the implementation rate in the Central Business District (CBD), the Iconic Tower, and the administrative towers (C01-C08), C11 and C12, and D01-D05.
As for the new projects in New Alamein, the minister noted that the coastal towers are finalized by 92%, while the main university and “Heritage City” is completed by 55% and60%, respectively.
Speaking of New Mansoura, El Gazzar noted that utility works are still ongoing, including a transformer station and a desalination plant with a full capacity of 500 megavolt ampere (MVA) and 160,000 cubic meters/day, respectively
The transformer station’s 300-MVA first phase, which spans over 14 acres, is established by 30%, the statement highlighted.
The minister also reviewed social housing projects being carried out in New Aswan, which totaled 6,720 residential units.
Nasser City in west Assiut also boasts two integrated urban projects being established over 78 and 104.15 acres, respectively, in addition to an 81-acre university, social housing projects, and several utility and infrastructure projects.
