Dubai-based developer Nakheel and Spain’s RIU Hotels and Resorts have revealed that their AED 670 mn beachfront resort on Deira Islands started taking shape, with all accommodation floors pretty much done and roofing work underway, Invest-Gate reports.
Floor tiling is ahead of schedule and the project’s contractors have begun works for the resort’s three swimming pools and restaurant as well as the amenity buildings, which are “well under way,” Nakheel said in an official statement on December 12.
“Façade and installation work at the nine-story property – the first international hospitality joint venture for Nakheel and the first all-inclusive 4-star family beach resort in Dubai – will begin early next year,” the statement noted.
Once completed, the resort will feature seven food and beverage outlets, three pools, a fitness complex, a children’s club, and a water park, as Nakheel endeavors to provide a 4-star, family-orientated, all-inclusive beachfront accommodation.
“The resort, RIU’s first in the region, is one of the emirate’s largest in terms of rooms … Two major new Nakheel projects – The Night Market and Deira Mall – are located nearby,” the property developer added.
Nakheel underscored that it has pumped more than AED 8.8 bn in infrastructure and project construction to date and is expected to add 40 kilometers of coastline to Dubai. Besides, the development is set to accommodate a population of 250,000 individuals, while creating 80,000 jobs.
