Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr is travelling to Beirut today to participate in the Egyptian-Lebanese Businessmen Forum on February 23, Invest-Gate reports.
According to a statement, Nasr’s two-day visit to the Lebanese capital also involves preparations for the eighth session of the joint higher committee chaired by prime ministers of both countries in Cairo next March.
Lebanon is ranked number 13 in the list of countries investing in Egypt. Lebanese companies investing in Egypt amount to 1,416 with a capital of USD 1.2 bn, providing 30,379 jobs. A total of 632 companies work in the service sector, 407 in the industrial sector, 133 in the construction sector, and 90 in the telecommunications and information technology sector. Another 69 Lebanese companies are operational in the tourism sector, 50 in the agricultural sector, and 35 in the funding sector.
