Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr met with the new South Korean Ambassador Yoon Son Joe on February 14 to discuss potential joint projects, Invest-Gate reports.
Nasr and Joe discussed the proposed USD 6 mn grant to establish the Egyptian-Korean Technology School, according to a statement,. They also discussed joint projects underway, such as the development of signs systems in the 118-kilometer Railway Line of Naga’ Hammadi/Luxor. The development project aims to reduce train accidents through the use of Korean high technology in this area.
This comes in reflection to the visit President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi paid to Seoul in March 2016, which resulted in signing memorandums of understanding and agreements on nation-wide development projects regarding education, electricity, energy, and transportation.
