The New Administrative Capital’s Olympic City has hosted a delegation from the Egyptian Olympic and Paralympic Committee to unveil the Egyptian team’s official uniform for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Members of the delegation praised the impressive achievements of the Olympic City, highlighting that it reflects the Egyptian state’s keenness to boost the sports sector.
The uniform was revealed during a conference attended by Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports; Yasser Idris, President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee (EOC); Eng. Khaled Abbas, Chairman and Managing Director of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD), in addition to members of the media and sports community.
Sobhy lauded the ACUD for supporting Egyptian sports, highlighting that this support is a significant step towards future achievements. “Collaboration between government and private sectors is key to Egypt’s sports renaissance,” he said.
During this occasion, Abbas reiterated the ACUD’s commitment to Egyptian athletes saying, “We are proud to support our athletes at the 2024 Paris Olympics, ensuring they have everything needed for success.”
“This fruitful cooperation between the company and the Egyptian Olympic Committee reflects our common vision to develop the sports sector and realize tangible achievements,” he added.
In addition, Abbas emphasized the importance of providing integrated sports infrastructure in the New Administrative Capital, pointing out that the Egypt International Olympic City has all the latest technologies and facilities to meet the needs of athletes.
Idris also praised the ACUD for its unwavering support, noting its contribution to empowering athletes to excel in their performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
