Essam Badawi, head of the New Burj Al Arab City Development Authority, praised the full-capacity production as well as all necessary measures taken to curb the virus, stressing the cooperation of all departments to overcome any obstacles that may face the work process, Invest-Gate reports.
This came during the head’s visit to several factories in the city, to follow up on the progress of the production process, ensuring that all precautionary measures are taken to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, according to a ministerial statement on May 3.
Badawi also inspected the factory of Alexandria Oil and Soap Company, which spans over 49,000 square meters in the Fourth Industrial Zone, with an investment value of EGP 826 mn and a workforce of 260 laborers.
He checked on Pharco Pharmaceuticals’ group of companies spanning 23,600 square meters in the Second Industrial Zone, 18,300 square meters in the Third Industrial Zone, and 10,000 square meters in the Fourth Industrial Zone, with total investments estimated at EGP 2 bn and a workforce of 2,064 employees.
Among the factories the head visited was this of El Welely For Agriculture Crops that is built on an area of 49,000 square meters in the Fourth Industrial Zone, with investments estimated at 650 EGP mn and 320 workers.
