The Egyptian Steel and Cement Company will build a new cement plant worth EGP 6 bn in the Upper Egyptian governorate of Sohag, Invest-Gate reports.
The cement plant, spanning an area of one mn square metres, is one of the plants that obtained a EGP 160.3-mn license for establishment, says Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Qabil.
The Industrial Development Authority has recently offered 11 industrial licenses in the governorates of Sohag, Minya, Mersa Matrouh, South Sinai, Suez, Qena, and the New Valley, according to data released by the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
