New Damietta Sees Delivery of Over 3,716 Dar Misr Units: Official

Head of New Damietta Development Authority Mohamed Ragab said 2,616 and 1,100 residential units were handed over to beneficiaries at phase I and phase II of Dar Misr middle-income housing project, respectively, with more deliveries ongoing, Invest-Gate reports.

Phase I of Dar Misr project features a total of 238 buildings, while phase II comprises 65 buildings, Ragab revealed during a seven-hour tour to review New Damietta’s developments, accompanied by Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar and Governor of Damietta Manal Awad, according to an official statement.

All of the buildings’ data has been passed to New Damietta’s Housing and Development Bank, in order to complete the procedures of delivering the units to beneficiaries, Ragab elucidated.

El Gazzar hailed the quality of Dar Misr’s implementation as well as the on-site coordination, stressing that the project represents one of the promising signs of new cities, coming as part of the state’s efforts to meet the needs and demands of Egypt’s middle-income segment to own appropriate housing.

On October 9, the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) announced that 1,056 fully-finished residential units are being handed over at New Damietta’s JANNA luxury housing project, situated in prime locations and in close proximity to existing housing and service areas.
