Lamar Tourism Development is to launch new touristic projects across some of Egypt’s new cities, starting off by New Damietta City, in line with Egypt 2030 vision, Invest-Gate reports.
The company has launched its first projects in New Damietta City, according to a company press release on June 7. Tariq Al-Orabi CEO of the company, says that the new city of Damietta witnesses great tourist and urban development within the state’s plan to improve this strategic sector.
Al-Orabi further elaborates that tourism development is one of the most important aspects of the Egyptian economy. “Therefore, Lamar is keen to establish the Lamar Azur Hotel in New Damietta City,” he comments. He also highlights that the hotel represents an added value to serve various sectors, such as tourism, the oil and gas companies in the area, universities, industrial zone, furniture cities, and various service activities.
The hotel is considered the first of its kind in Damietta and Delta governorates to revitalize the tourism map and contribute to attracting foreign investment, the statement reads. “The hotel is in a prime location in New Damietta. It is also characterized by four-star specifications. It is provided with services for people with special needs and free internet service across the the hotel,” Al-Orabi continues.
The hotel contains 120 rooms varied between singles, doubles, triples, and connected rooms for families, in addition to luxurious “distinguished” rooms and four hotel suites. It has two ballrooms fully equipped for hosting large events; in addition to the main restaurant and the underway swimming pool, jacuzzi, and gym.
