Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assam El Gazzar has confirmed that a total of 10,476 social housing units have been finalized last year in New Damietta, Invest-Gate reports.
New Damietta’s Dar Misr middle-income housing project saw the completion of 4,656 properties, in addition to 4,760 and 1,056 residences at Sakan Misr and JANNA housing projects, respectively, El Gazzar explained in an official statement on January 12.
For his part, Head of New Damietta Development Authority Mohamed Ragab underlined that a developmental leap was undertaken in New Damietta during the prior year, given the advancement of the new city’s main and internal road networks.
As for service provision, six basic education schools have been implemented, with a total of 208 classrooms. Also, 72 workshops, five commercial markets, two regional parking bays, along with a medical unit, a university, and a football field have been recently released, Ragab underlined.
