New Fayoum City has completed approximately 307 social housing units at a cost of EGP 40 mn, according to Ashraf Abdel Rahman head of the City’s Authority, reported Al Mal.

With this major update, the new city is currently undergoing the construction of some other developments, including a road linking the city with Fayoum governorate at a cost of EGP 8 mn, rural sanitation projects at a cost of EGP 23 mn, and a commercial mall, which will spread on 8000 square meters to serve residents within the city.

Fayoum City’s budget has reached around EGP 390 mn to be able to cover the increase in social housing projects and “is currently implementing 1,536 social houses at a cost of EGP 250 mn,” Abdel Rahman told Al Mal.
