Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and Kuwait-headquartered franchise operator Alshaya on Monday announced plans for a new Four Seasons hotel in downtown Kuwait City, according to a press release from Alshaya.

The hotel will be housed in the 22-storey eastern tower of the Burj Alshaya mixed use development complex and will feature 284 rooms, set to open in 2017.

The Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait will also include in- and outdoor pools, a spa, fitness centres and two ballrooms along with conference and banqueting rooms able to house up to 2,000 people.
