New Obour City Authority launched a campaign to enforce property codes in the city, removing and demolishing structures and encroachments found in violation of the codes, according to the authority’s head Amin Ghoneim, Al Mal reported on Wednesday.
The campaign was executed by the authority’s Department of Security and Violations, in coordination with the construction and utilities police, to remove 59 land plots, retail and residential units. The units were removed for violating their designated activities, licenses, and construction codes.
Additionally, 200 cases of public road obstructions were resolved, 120 street vendors were stopped, and 70 unlicensed electrical posts were removed.
