Progress in “Housing for all Egyptians” and “Dar Misr” Projects in Sadat City

Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, announces the completion of 6,376 units in the presidential initiative, “Housing for All Egyptians” for low-income people, as well as the implementation of the first two phases of the “Dar Misr “project in Sadat City, Invest-Gate reports.

As for Housing for All Egyptians project, the Ministry of Housing has implemented 4,060 housing units in the “Al-Nour” district on 1,033 acres and 1,740 units in the Fardos district on ​​952 acres. Besides, 576 units are underway in the same district, the ministerial statement discloses.

Concerning the Dar Misr project, the Ministry of Housing has completed the first phase that includes 360 housing units in 15 buildings. It has also finished the second phase, which includes 432 housing units in 18 buildings.

Additionally, the ministerial statement elaborates that ongoing service projects in Housing for All Egyptians include a school, a 1,600 sqm- health unit, a ​​1,600 sqm- commercial market, a 2,000 sqm- triple playground, a 2,000 sqm- nursery building, a school and the Nile International School.

For his part, Ragab Salman, the head of the Sadat City Development Authority, points out that the city’s service projects also include the developed youth center on an area of ​​15 acres, with EGP 149.37 mn of investments.

Regarding sewage projects, Salman explains that the city includes a mechanical treatment plant with a capacity of 40,000 cum/day. Moreover, the facilities are being supplied to the Eighth Industrial Zone with an investment of EGP 1.028 bn. In addition, a project to separate the industrial from the human is underway.

As for the Electricity sector, Siemens company is carrying out the largest transformer station of NUCA’s projects in the city with a capacity of 525 megavolts in the 8th Industrial Zone, with future expansions of 350 megavolts. The completion rate of the station has reached 98% in preparation for its opening.

Moreover, the residential extension transformer station is underway, with a capacity of 525 megavolt ampere and an investment of EGP 385 mn.

Furthermore, a 160 megavolt-ampere transformer station in the Motawreen area has been completed, which feeds 82 plots of different sizes and 298 industrial units, including major industrial areas such as Polaris, CBC, and El Sewedy.

Additionally, the ministerial statement reveals that the utilities work has been completed in the neighborhoods of El Narjis, Al-Rawda and Al-Rehan. Besides, road works are underway to link the food security area to the Cairo/Alexandria Desert Road.
